Job Specification
Fordwater is a great special school supporting children age 2-19 years with a range of special educational and complex learning needs including PMLD, SLD, and ASC. The school has been on an exciting, successful journey of development and are looking to expand our enthusiastic, committed and experienced team at our Fordwater Kingsham site.
Fordwater, Kingsham is an extension of the 14-19 department based on the grounds of Chichester High School. It provides education to a group of students who are preparing for their transition on from Fordwater. Across the whole 14-19 department the emphasis is on supporting young people to develop their interests and skills whilst also developing preparation into adulthood.
Job Purpose
The Assistant Cook will be responsible to assist in providing healthy and freshly produced school meals at the Kingsham site. You will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, service clearing and cleaning of the kitchen environment within the required standards, ensuring hygiene and safety measures are maintained at all times. You will also support groups of students and staff who are using the kitchen to develop their life skills through cooking the daily meals.
