Welcome to Panthers Class.

We are a Key stage 4 class for 14-16 year old students with a wide variety of needs. Jonathan is the class teacher with Donna, Linda, Helen and Nikki as our Special Support Assistants.

We follow the Key Stage 4 curriculum where we develop a range of key skills as well as working towards the accredited ASDAN scheme ‘Transition Challenge’. Our work focuses on moving on and independence and therefore involves a lot of practical work such as cookery and the use of computing.

We enjoy trips out into the community to help support our learning and independence skills. Some of our favourite places include the supermarket, local café’s, bowling and the cinema and anything else active and fun!

We are a sociable group and enjoy the opportunity to interact with both our peers and adults. We understand the importance of empathy and inclusion of all, as well as the importance of recognising and praising progression and achievement. We like to use a wide variety of communication aids to support our learning. These include Makaton, switches and symbols. You are very welcome to visit us, please join in!
